Halo 3 is known by gamers all around the world as being a one console game. True, it’s available for one console and one console only, that being Microsoft’s Xbox and Xbox 360. Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 are both already available for a gamer to play it on their home PC. However, gamers all around the world are patiently awaiting the release of Halo 3 for their home PC’s.
When Halo: Combat Evolved was released for the PC, Bungie and Microsoft updated aspects of the game. Gamers were now armed with brand new weapons, challenges and surprises. Another added feature which was not included with the original released of Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox was the ability for gamers to play online against each other. The PC version however allowed for the intense online gaming feature.
Halo 2 was also released for the PC to allow gamers to continue the saga of Master Chief; although some gamers have been annoyed with the fact that Halo 2 has been released for Vista only. Due to the long awaited launch for Halo 2 to be on the PC, gamers are often found wondering when Halo 3 for PC will become available to them since no announcement has been made officially by Microsoft or Bungie Studios on when gamers can expect this game to be on their home PC.
In order for a gamer to be able to play Halo: Combat Evolved on their home PC’s they would need:
- Microsoft Windows 98/ME/XP/2000
- A processor speed equivalent to 733 MGZ or higher
- 128 MB of Ram
- 1.2 GB of free hard drive space
- 8x speed CD-ROM or higher
- 32MB T&L capable video card required
- Sound card, speakers or headphones are required for audio
- 56.6 Kbps or better modem or a LAN for online play; broadband for a server.
Now in order for a gamer to be able to play Halo 2 for their home PC’s, they would need a minimum system requirement of:
- Windows Vista
- 2 GHZ of processor speed
- 1 GB of Ram7 GB of free hard drive space
- NVIDIA 6100, ATI X700 video card or higher
- Internet Connection for Games for Windows - LIVE
- DVD-Rom Drive
Since no word has been made when gamers can purchase their copy of Halo 3 for PC they patiently await the arrival as they continue to play Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2.
