Halo 3 For Xbox - The Exciting Conclusion To The Popular Halo Series
It’s the year 2552.
Humans have been in an unending war with the dreadful alien civilization that calls itself the Covenant. This evil group views Humanity as a nonconforming race, which goes against their religion - a faith that believes that a Great Journey awaits the faithful. In the new Halo 3 for Xbox, time is running out for Spartan 117 - Master Chief - and he must finish the fight!
Unfortunately for the galaxy, the “Great Journey” can only begin by firing an array of ring-like weapons scattered throughout space. These enormous rings, called Halos, have been abandoned by their mysterious creators, the Forerunners.
The war, horrible and destructive, has been complicated by series of events. One of these Halos was discovered and destroyed by Human forces. Leading a small band of soldiers was the last of the legendary Spartan II military program, Spartan 117 (The Master Chief), who managed to slip by the Covenant, and annihilated the Halo.
A battle at the second Halo was motivation for a galaxy-spanning massacre, as civil war broke out among the Covenant. Driven by the fact that the leaders of the Covenant, the Prophets, had willingly lied to its population for millenniums, the Covenant broke out into a short complicated civil war that would form new alliances in its ranks.
The Elites were now allied with humanity.
The truth was, the Halos wouldn’t take the Covenant on a Great Journey. Instead, they would demolish all life in the Galaxy. The Halos were built by the Forerunners as a last resort to defend against the worst species the Galaxy has ever known. A species the Covenant has reawakened for the second time in a hundred thousand years.
That species is the Flood. An all-consuming parasite that creates evil puppets of those it kills. The Flood won’t stop until all thinking creatures are absorbed into its plan. The second Halo has been activated, putting all other Halos in a dangerous state of emergency standby. They are primed to fire…
Even worse, the Covenant has found the hidden location of Earth. They have killed almost all human resistance as they search for clues of the Halo array – some of which that have been hidden under our own feet for millions of years.

Even though we have our new allies the Elites, and their honorable leader, the Arbiter, we are still outnumbered and at the mercy of the Prophets, and the evil Flood. With time running out, the survival of our Galaxy now lies in the hands of one soldier, Spartan 117 – the Master Chief.
